This double wall Pitcher has a ceramic inner chamber and weighs 5.5 lbs. It is covered with lots of beautiful ARTWORK including; a ring of flowers & leaves along the bottom and upper edges, hunting scenes on the spout a hunter in a canoe and with a walrus, also two hunters; one holding a spear and the other aiming a rifle at a bear on his hind legs. This piece is tarnished and requires polishing. Other than that it is in nice shape for an 1800s pitcher. There are a couple of dents, not deep. There is something loose in the double wall and I am not sure if it is supposed to be there or not. Nothing appears to be missing on the exterior and I can\'t imagine how anything could get inbetween the walls that wasn\'t manufactured that Meriden Silverplate Co.
