Antique Victorian Brass Embossed coal box, bucket, with double liner, shovel, glass handles, c. 1890\'s.
Unique, elaborate Coal Scuttle Box, embossed brass on lid, top and brackets. Solid Construction made to last.
The glass handles on the bucket and shovel are unique also. Note the detail in the pictures.
Measures 20\" lip to back of bucket, 13\" deep or wide, 19\" tall. 15\" length for the shovel, tip of scoop to top of handle.
Examine all pictures carefully for this antique has been used for its intended purpose of both as coal scuttle storage and for ashes.
It is in remarkably good condition for its age and use. Weight is over 16 pounds.
There is minor damage - a chip on the glass handle of the scoop - see picture # 4. It does not affect the stability of the shovel however.
There is minor rust on the inside double liner of the removable part - see picture 10. It has not rusted through the metal - surface only.
There is minor damage above the hinge - brass has split - see picture # 11. Again this does not affect the opening of the lid in any way.
This is a wonderful antique treasure for your fireside and hearth. It is unique and an authentic antique for the collector\'s fine home décor.
