Beautiful bodice or vest! This is solid black not faded as some images appear. Pink color is pretty close in the first images.
Has heavy boning and tons of French Jet beading and trim. Very sturdy material and lining. Has 17 pieces of boning and original waist ties. Front bust and collar is a pink silk and netting with an ornate beaded design. This has a lot of hook and eyes and closes in 2 layers. Some are loose. They do not all close in the same direction. I assume this was due to the weight and keeping the piece securely closed.
There are threads showing, and it appears to be remnants of a removed trim. There is ornate beaded trim all around the base and down center front along all the closures.
In good condition with only 2 separations in the back (can be mended), and the pink silk and netting show this as well. Possible small pinholes. Neck has seperations at the lining and shell seam lines. They are hard to see as they are pretty clean lines.
It appears to also have has the sleeves removed or the trim along the edges. The boning covers show wear and fading but are very strong and sturdy.
This is a small size measuring a 24\" waist (measured outside across) and 33\" bust. Bust maybe a 34/35 as if measured across the bust line, there still has fullness. Center front is 18\" long and back is approx. 22\".
