Antique Velvet-Covered Victorian Photo Album with Music Box

In Victorian times looking at photos in an album that played music was an evening\'s entertainment. This lovely antique photo album is covered in a teal shade of velvet. (Photo appears more navy - actual color is closer to teal.) The inside back cover displays the music box mechanism. The back has the winding mechanisim for the music box and this one does play. One of the tunes is the \"Merry Widow Waltz,\" and I do not recognize the title of the second waltz. There are several photos included in the album. I believe this was an album for an immigrant Italian family, as one of the photos is of a priest and was apparently taken in Italy (see last two photos). It is a heavy card stock photo -- probably sent by a relative who remained in Italy. I checked another photo, and it was taken by a New York City studio.

Condition: Velvet cover is very worn. The back cover shows more of the original vibrant teal. Music box is clear as a bell. Some minimal tears and aging of the paper pages. See tear on the binding preceding the music box window.

Measurements: The album is approx 11\" H and approx 8.75\" W x 2.5\" D.
