Another favorite - lovely for display or collection in good (dress) and excellent (lace) condition for the delicacy and age.This dress is not perfect and is for the collector or anyone who appreciates the handiwork and timeworn patina.Home sewn empire style light blue silk voile (non-verifiable, feels like and irons at low silk setting).Beautifully detailed tatting embroidery lace around neck, bodice, and sleeves hand stitched to form little pink design at each stitch (photos show inside and out - impressive time consuming handiwork looking closely)Hand stitched ribbon \'rose\' detail in center front.Side seams that continue to form the sleeves, so there is no additional arm or shoulder seams.Sleeves have 3\" slit opening.There are areas of fading, but in my opinion, displays well looking like two tone patina when hanging for display or decor.
I did not see any issues with the lace which is remarkable given how delicately it is attached.
I laundered with hand washing and hanging to dry.Other issues noted:
- a few scattered very light soiling spots that are not easily seen
- darker stains on back center with largest measuring 1/2\" -3/4\" (photo 8)
- couple of darker spots near the hem (photo 9)
- small white spot on back below the lace (photo 10)
- tiny hole in front below the lace (photo 11)
- hole next to front side seam measuring 1/4\" about 16\" up from hem (photo 12)Measurements taken flat:Length - 45\"
