The History

This beautiful bracelet comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art Deco Era is famous for being the \"Gatsby\" or \"Roaring Twenties\" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period.

During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon custom order, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.

Chinese Export jewelry became popular during the late Victorian Period and lasted until the 1960\'s. In a lot of ways Chinese Export jewelry fashioned what we know of jewelry today. During these period\'s Chinese Craftsmen including Jewelers, Stone cutters were considered by far the best in the world.

The rich and wealthy would have a piece custom ordered through their local jeweler whom was usually gifted at drawing a design to send off to contacts in China to craft and send back. As you can imagine, this was not cheap, that being said, these pieces are very rare and few have survived until today

Chinese Stone cutters were considered some of the finest artisans in the world during the Vintage Era. They would carved western themes as well as the more rare traditional Eastern themes into their many pieces.

Historiansbelieve the link between humans and lapis lazuli stretches back more than 6,500years. The gem was treasured by the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia,Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome. They valued it for its vivid, exquisite color,and prized it as much as they prized other blue gems like sapphire andturquoise.

The Piece

Thebracelet includes beautiful hand carved natural Lapis Lazuli segments throughout the outside of the bracelet. The Lapis has a bright blue hue mixed with classic gold speckling.

The bracelet features classic handmade Art Deco craftsmanship throughout including solid 14k Yellow Gold chased leaf patterns that envelope the stones as well.

The bracelet has an inside circumference of Appx 8\". The bracelet has a wrist width of 2 and 1/2\". The bracelet measures 1/4\" thick. The bracelet is a hinged bangle and opens up via a push clasp on the side of it. It is missing the original safety chain, however wears just fine as is.
