Lovely, vintage lockset salvaged from an old home Upstate NY. The set consists of 2 round glass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 mortise lock with brass faceplate and 1 working key, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knobs. The shanks (bases of the knobs), escutcheons, lock faceplate, and strike plate are solid brass, not plated steel.

The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of anydoor.We found the set unpainted and with a nice, subtle patina which we didn\'t want to disturb by cleaning. However, if you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, we could clean and polish all parts for an additional $25--email us after the sale if you\'re interested.

The glass knobs are completely intact with no chips or cracks, and there is no looseness between the knobs and their bases. All metal parts have small nicks and scratches, which are common for hardware nearly 100 years old. The lock was opened, inspected, and greased to operate more smoothly. We made a key to operatethe lock and could make more for $8/key--let us know if you are interested after the sale.
