Superb Art Deco Bureau bookcase in the side by side format c1930's.
Rare small proportions bureau bookcase, probably dating from about 1935, quality construction, dovetail joints etc.
The central bureau section has the drop down front with automatically extending supports revealing a finished interior with simple shaped dividers and an inlaid leatherette writing surface, underneath there are three drawers, the top one being smaller to accomodate the supports, the drawer handles have carving detailing.
The two flanking bookcases are glazed with two bars seperating the sections, the lower part of the door has a section with a carved design on, the underneath has great shaped legs and the whole piece stands slightly elevated on the legs with a shaped stretcher.
The shelves within the bookcase sections are adjustable.
Dimensions are 92 wide, 1030 high and 42 deep, the cental bureau section is 46 wide.
