The Piece
The Rose Quartz in this beautiful statue is completely hand carved and un-treated in color. The color is a beautiful, translucent, bright-pink hue. The translucency in this amazing statue is truly breathtaking.
The carving depicts the 3D figure of the great Chinese figure, Kwan Yin. Kwan Yin is a Buddhist Deity whom represents compassion among many other things. The Kwan Yin is very complex in carving. The figurine comes complete with two pheasants carved into either side of the Quartz, and the Kwan Yin is holding a vase up by her head. The carving also depicts ornate dress robes, as well as her hair in a bun on the top of her head.
The intricacy of the carving is amazing, with no space left un-carved or without detail. Please use the zoom button to capture a full appreciation of its intricacy. This is a museum-quality master piece!
The statue itself measures just shy of 8.25\" tall by 5\" wide by 2\" deep. This statue comes with a beautifully carved teak wood-stand that would have been hand-carved specifically to fit the Rose Quartz figure. The stand adds an additional 1.25\" to the height. The piece weighs a total of 760.0 grams.
