This is an item that I found at an sale. I am not an expert and can only go on what I was told at the sale. It was presented by the sale house as a very rare, Civil War Era Indian Head Pipe. It is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks on the pipe. The Indian Head face is very detailed. Air can blow through the pipe. I did not try it but I believe it will work since air can come through the pipe. I was told that the material is most likely clay. It has a glaze over it and is very smooth. When the pipe is tapped with something , it sounds like glass. This is a pre-owned and used item that does show some scuffs and surface scratches. It is very clean. The pipe is approx. 5 3/8\" long x 1\" wide at the widest part of the pipe. Please see photos for detailed look. Email any questions you have. Item will ship after payment is received.
