This is a very early, woven wool or linsey woolsey blanket with a hand stitched center seam but has several flaws and issues.. it has a large hole.. actually two near the center of this blanket.. moth holes ?? here and there , torn and frayed edges and small mended dotted areas in and around this blanket. With this said it still has enough life left to be used in any primitive home for decor or if you did want to use this for a craft project there is still much good fabric to be found. You will notice some red dots in one area this is thread... not a stain or spots. The side edges are still very good ... shown in pics..it is the bottom of this blanket that shows the most damage. I have tried to show you in the photos the most damaged sections of this very early antique linsey woolsey or wool blanket. The center seam is hand stitched and a blanket stitch used on the top and bottom edges.
This is perfect for antique textile collectors or for any wonderful primitive decorated home.The size .. 84\" x 71\"I have been to many living history museums depicting life in the early 1800\'s .. a blanket like this and in this condition could more than likely be shown on one of their feather rope beds.
This blanket is not usable as bedding for today ( unless you can repair it) and is being sold AS IS and for DECORATIVE or CUTTER use.
