This beautifulyoung lady has a tranquil, calm appearance. Her headscarf suggests she is acountry girl, perhaps a gooseherd or shepherdess! The base has a brass plaqueat the front bearing the inscription “Au Village” and at the back the number232, France and just visible Marque Deposee. This bust is just as I bought it, it could bere-touched, I leave that choice to the buyer. I rather like the authenticity ofthis chalk-ware, showing its age. The right side of the dress collar has smalldamage, see last photo.

Measurements: Base27cm x 13 cm, overall height is 33cm.
