A beautiful and charming antique faux-bamboo French Chinoiserie wood mirror from France.This was made in the early 20th century. Chinoiserie designs were popular in France in the 1930s.This is a fine example, in great condition. A gorgeous addition to your decor. Very shabby-chic!The wood is turned to resemble bamboo, and has a beautiful honeyed patina.The mirror has typical de-silvering marks from age, which only add to its antique charm.One \"bamboo\" end bent down ever so slightly (see pix); I never noticed.I bought this in an antique shop in Paris 30 years ago, and it has hung in my entryway ever since.Nice compact size, to hang in the perfect spot. Set to hang vertically; can easily be hung horizontally.The overall dimensions are 16\" high x 15\" wide x 1 1/4\" deep. The mirror itself is 9 5/8\" x 7 5/8\".Beautifully made, and quite substantial and weighty for its compact size- 2 lbs, 11 oz by itself.These are quite rare, and harder and harder to find; a real treasure.Will be carefully packed and insured.
