The \"Globe de Mariage\" or \"Globe de Mariée\" became very popular in the French Napoleon III era (second half of the 19th century, Victorian era).

After the wedding, the wedding tiara, bouquet and (later a) picture would be inserted. Later in life all sorts of other things were added: hair of babies, communion certificates, letters, etc.This is the interior of a globe de mariée and the original wooden stand (it used to also have a glass dome). It still witholds a wedding tiara and corsage, with a lot of wax flowers and buds.It measures approx. 12.5\" x 8\" (32 cm x 20 cm), measured at the base (the wooden stand). The total height is approx. 14.5\" (37 cm).The interior looks like it\'s leaning a little backwards. I think this can be easily adjusted, but I didn\'t dare to try.Please have a close look at the pictures to find out everything about this globe de mariée anddon\'t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Rest of the World: USD 5.00I do my shipping through La Poste. Since I\'m à la campagne (out in the country) I cannot drive up to La Poste every day. I go to my village twice a week. So the time it takes for me to get your item to the Post Office is 1 - 3 business days.

I cannot give any information on how long it will take for the package to arrive once I\'ve shipped it. I\'ve send packages to Australia that arrived within one week and another time it took two weeks. And probably a bit more when there are holidays or extended security measures. Shipping within Europe is mostly three days up to a week.
