Notable Features:This ring is a classic Georgian ring that is made out of solid 18k yellow gold and features a sardonyx cameo centerpiece. The sardonyx showcases a thin sheet of gray on the top with a solid black base. The gray sheet on top is carved into a beautiful Old English \"M.\" The gold design of this piece includes a secure setting for the sardonyx centerpiece that holds it in place perfectly with lightly chased designs around the setting of the stone. The ring also includes a thick yellow gold base that supports the entire ring and is finished off with a smooth polished surface.

Rather than signing their name on a document, people would use a signet ring to make their mark. The ring would be pressed into hot wax or soft clay, and would leave a distinctive impression that functioned as an official seal.
Used by rulers and religious leaders, a signet ring could be used to mark a document, a doorway, or even to seal a tomb. When someone saw the mark of the king, it proved authenticity. The seal could not be opened without damaging the identifying mark, making it difficult to tamper with.
