For sale is a very pretty vintage powder compact approx 1940/1950s.Made in Italy.

It is a nice shield type shape and has a decorativeengraved scroll/rose design all over front and back,sides have a etched line design.

Inside is a bevel edge mirror which is intact,mirror frame is stamped 800 and has the makers stamp numbers and what looks like an F.The powder well contains a worn sifter and worn coated in powderswansdown puff.

Overall condition is excellent,there are light scuffs and scratches as to be expected.The back has a long scratch on the left hand side which may have happened when it was engraved,it looks very straight.The mirror frame has comeaway at bottom edge so may need adjustment,i have left it as i don\'t want to break the mirror.

Measures 8 cms across at the widest point,7 cms high.
