Sadly, it\'s time for meto right-size my living space, and sell off some of my hat collection. Here isa Stetson bowler which I believe dates to just after the turn of the century.Marked on the leather band is The Bennett Company Omaha (the seller I imagine),John B. Stetson Co. Grand Prize 1900 Paris, 7 1/8 and John B. Stetson Company FlexibleConforming, Philadelphia. The leather band shows some sweat staining towardsthe front, a bit of discoloration on other parts, and the stitching hasseparated from the hat about half-way around, but the leather is still flexible with nosplitting or tearing. Sizing is a true 7 1/8 (my size), and I’ve added avintage hat box whose leather strap has disintegrated into parts, but the partsare included in the box. A bit of wear to the hat\'s grosgrain edge binder, but notmuch, and no wear to the ribbon. Some very minor staining to the wool of thehat, mentioned solely for extreme accuracy. Still a wearable hat.
