A PAIR OF WONDERFUL LANTERNS WITH PORCELAIN WICK HOLDERS

These lamps were made in Britain in the 19th century. They are carriage lamps OR railroad lanterns (there is glass on two sides (?). I don’t know if they used oil or paraffin in the tin font. [I\'m not a lantern expert.] One wick is missing but the other one is there. Theporcelain is inscribed \'LYNLIGHT / No. 1 / BRITISH MAKE\' and \'SHERWOODS LIMITED\'. They are made of metal and tin with a wick holder of porcelain, a hood with a smoke dispersal plate, and TWO plain glass windows on each. One porcelain wick holder does not have words on it. (These are a pair.) The ‘slides’ catch/handle (on the doors) work well. The oil or paraffin font slides into a track and has a wheel to adjust the wick. The handle on one is curved, the other is flatter. On one side there is a wide U-shaped piece where the lantern would hook onto the carriage or the building or the train (?). They measure 3.5 inches x 3 inches by 10 inches in height. I think these are museum pieces. They have a buy-it-now option.
