Welcome! Presenting an antique or vintage unglazed heavy porcelain mortar marked on the bottom \"Standard Trenton\" (stamp is partially worn away) #1 \"Acid Resisting\", along with a pestle that was purchased separately, but is also marked #1, made of the same material, but has an indistinct maker\'s mark, which means it may or may not be Standard Trenton. However, it is the right proportion for the mortar.

The mortar measures about 2 7/8 inches high and 4 3/4 inches outside rim to outside rim. It has a heavy weight of 2 pounds 3 ounces and is very thick in construction. The pestle measures 6 1/2 inches long.

The set has wear marks and age discoloration including a rusty spot on the pestle, but is fully intact and in good, usable condition.
