This unique one-of-a-kind antique book holder has cast iron spring-operated wooden panels that fold to support a large book, and cast iron legs with wooden wheels for easy moving. The wooden panels tilt to adjust the book\'s angle. A cast iron book shelf is screwed in place and used to raise or lower the height of the stand. The lettering on the book shelf reads \"L.W. NOYES, CHICAGO.\". There are also various numbers cast into the legs, book shelf, and folding mechanism, etc., that serve as part numbers. A piece of black parchment with gold lettering is affixed to the left wooden panel describing the various parts and how to reorder replacements.
