Antique Vintage Victorian Edwardian Black Gothic Mourning Blouse:

This incredible piece is an antique mourning blouse from the late Victorian or Edwardian period. It is of stunning quality and condition for its age, with no noticeable signs of wear other than of age.* It is quite sturdy and can be worn as a functioning blouse, though I would recommend being gentle with it. This has been part of my collection for some time, and I have kept it stored without using or displaying it.
Fabric appears to be some type of cotton sateen, very smooth and matte, with trimming on the sleeve cuffs and down the sides of the front panel. The blouse features mutton chop sleeves, pintucking and pleating, and a stand collar. It has a cleverly hidden opening in the front, as the front panel is fastened to the side with snaps and hooks. The collar also closes with snaps.
Beautiful interior, with brown lining or facing. This would make an excellent study piece since the tailoring is incredibly well done and can be examined from the inside.
