Antique Vintage Willcox & Gibbs Electric Sewing Machine Westinghouse A683475
Appears complete, but could be it is missing something as I don\'t have expertise in these. It is paired with a Westinghouse Type AD motor, made specifically for Willcox & Gibbs as both names are imprinted on the silver band around the motor.
Turns very smoothly and all the mechanical parts appear to operate properly. Motor runs smoothly. Feed dogs move back and forth and up and down, needle holder moves up and down.
Patent dates indicated are from the 1880s and 1890s with the latest being August 28, 1894. However, the electric motor probably puts it more into the 1900s.
Serial # A683475.
15.5\" x 6\" x 11\" tall.
I haven\'t been able to find any historical details on the motor, but here is what it appears to say \"Type AD 110 Volts DC & AC to 70 Cycles\". It definitely looks like Type AD and not DC or anything else.
