Up for offer an antique wax statue of Virgin Mary holdingJesus in her hands. This statue dates back the 1930’s or about. These itemswere often given as a wedding present at the time in various country’sthroughout Europe. The figures itself are made out of wax. Clothing of Maria isa mixture of silk and corduroy fabric or something like that. It’s a not cheapmaterial of clothing. Very good quality. It all stands under a glass dome. Thedome itself sits on a wood base with 4 legs. And a cord around the bottom ofthe glass dome gives it a nice finishing touch. Height of the complete dome andbase is 15 ¼”, width is 15” and depth is 8 ¼”. The virgin Mary statue itself is14 ½” high. This is a very nice and good quality religious piece of art.
