Here\'s a gorgeous IDEAL Flirty Eyed Baby...she is circa 1930\'s and measures about 20\" tall. Many moons ago she was restored by the looks of things...and her re-paintwas tastefully andprofessionally done, featherlight and smooth. ORIGINAL cloth body is pristine...NO stains or tears and she\'s clean and sweet...from my non-smoking home! Baby was loved and cared for...she\'s in pretty nice shape xo Non-working crier in her back. I see two lifts starting on back of her head *please refer to photos, supersize them as I\'ve photographed all faults that I deemed important ...which havebeen filled to arrest further deterioration. She\'s clearly marked IDEAL DOLL , made in USA on back of her neck. The backs of her arms have some crazing which has also been filled. Her facecompo is quite nice but I see a few tiny hairlines starting near her eyes. Her leg composition looksreally good. Nice chubbybaby\'s arms and chunky baby legs ~
I think this lovely antique Baby is fromThe Baby Beautiful Series that Ideal produced in the 30\'s. She isa Strawberry-Blonde version which isvery hard to find!! (HTF)My photos with flash show her as more blonde but she\'s really aSTRAWBERRY BLONDE...bordering on honey colored molded compo curls for herhair...painted. Her brown eyes have crackled. LUSH THICK brown horsehair lashes!!! Painted bottom ones underneath her eyes. Eyes flirt side to sidevery nicely and open/close easily!! ~~Her brows have been re-painted as well as her red lips. Niceplump rosy pinkbaby cheeks. And two white upper teeth showing with a red felt tongue. Her re-paint was done years ago...before I acquired her.
This doll has asurprisingly nice andheavy \"baby feel\" to her...very cuddly!!She is awonderfulbaby-sized mama dolly to add to your collection. Feels like a healthy infant in your arms...just like we like them to be ~~~She wears a pretty replacement doll dress of pink satin, with a pink satin overcoat ...My flash has drowned out the true color, it\'s a bitmore pinkin person. I do believeher coat, pink bloomers, darling pink oilcloth shoes and rayon socks areORIGINALto her.Her dress, slip and bonnet are later additions...and someone has sewn rows of icy pink lace ontoa vtgebaby\'s bonnet for her to wear!She looks lovely in this outfit ~ very fetching and similar to what she wore when she was produced.
