Antique Wilhelm Imhoff of CasselWoodenPipe Carved Deer & Rabbit German Circa 1900s

Description:

The pipe has been in the family for about 100 years.
It is engraved with the pipe maker, W. Imhoff DRP Cassel. There is also a carved mark that looks like a logo on the stem of the pipe.

The pipe is carved with a running rabbit on the bowl of the pipe and the head and antlers of a deer beneath the shank.
The bowl has a cap on it.
There is a cord connecting the stem and bowl with 2 beads with small tufts of rabbit fur .

According to my research, Wilhelm Imhoff was from Cassel (aka Kassel), Hesse-Nassau in Prussia.
There is an online catalog on The Tobacco Pipe Artistory website, under W. Imhoff, dated 1912 which shows this pipe on page 24 (item # 367).

It measures about 11\" long x 4.5\" wide.

Condition:

The pipe is in good condition with these three exceptions:
The stem is too easily removable from the shank of the pipe and needs to be tightened. Knowing little about pipes, I did not try to correct this.
There is a missing metal ring connecting the pipe bowl with the shank.
The cord connecting the tufts of fur is broken and can be repaired, replaced, or discarded. I tied it together for a temporary fix.

If you have questions, please let me know.
Thanks for looking!
