Offered in this sale is a possibly unique American green bottle glass paperweight containing an encased rectangular plaque that is decorated with the image of a single rail car underneath which is written WAGNER C (or perhaps G) OND\'R. It measures roughly 2\" tall x 3\" in diameter. It has a sharp pontil on the underside of the base. I believe that this may be an advertising piece. I cannot make out the second word which is abbreviated, however, a Google search reveals information relating to a WAGNER PARLOR CAR. This could possibly be a piece made for that company. If anyone recognizes the image or the name and would care to share the information, I would enjoy hearing from you. The condition is excellent. Other than a couple minute surface marks which you need your finger to find, there are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, bruises or surface scratches. A great early piece.
