Finely Embossed Jasperware
1850 - 1900Superb quality fine applied decoration all round on a squat shape antique basalt sugar bowl and lid. It has a handle on either side.The handle has a small wreath of leaves and berries where it joins the body on both sides.
The lid is also beautifully decorated all round the edge in an intricate fine scroll leaf design.The outside is matt but inside is a beautiful black shiney gloss.This box measures approximately 5" across from handle to handle and is just under 4" high. It is fully marked to the base with the impressed WEDGWOOD mark and no England dating it to pre 1891.This sugar box or sucrier is in excellent condition with no damage. No chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.

Within the UK I usually offer both 1st and 2nd Class post so you can choose to save a little but please be aware that 2nd class takes longer to arrive!
