Antique Waterbury Cathedral Steeple Clock Working 8 Day 30 Hour Ao1022543:
Antique Cathedral Mantel Clock with key. 8 Day, 30 Hour Wind up Striking Chime each hour. Made in Waterbury , Conn. by the Waterbury Clock Co. (Probably in the 1800's). I tested it overnight and it works, holds time and chimes the correct number of chimes on each hour. I wound it about seven rotations on both sides. I have not tested it for anything else. Measures 20" tall, 10" across base, and 4 1/2" deep at the base. Shows age/patina on the finish and the veneer is lifting and cracked in the area around the base. The door has a twist latch to hold the door closed. The door frames a picture on glass of a young boy. Inside behind the pendulum are the operating instructions. Overall this is a beautiful antique Gothic style mantel clock. Will be carefully wrapped and boxed for priority shipping. Please look at pictures for more details of condition.
