Up for offer is a very well done painting on thick stock paper by famous early Texas artist Granville Bruce(1903-1989). This painting/sketching has mediums of watercolor, charcoal, and pencil.. Bruce moved to San Antonio in the 20\'s from Milwaukee and lived out his life in San Antonio and Dallas. His extensive biography and art accomplishments regarding Texas natural history, landscapes and varied architecture can be easily accessed on the internet. His paintings have sold for $2-5,000+ in the internet era alone.
Bruce is well noted for his depiction of historical architectural around San Antonio/SW Texas and the farm/barn in this work could well be from the hill country in that area. (However, appropriate research could probably determine the exact location).
The painting is in outstanding condition with no visible wear or paint loss. The matte has only minor wear while the oak western frame is in outstanding condition. (Bruce could have matted the work himself).
The framed painting measures 29 1/4\" X 21 7/8\" while the matted work is 27 1/2\" X 20 1/8\". The image size is 21 1/4\" X 13 5/8\".
