Antique Wedgwood Blue Transferware Covered Dish, 1883Beautiful Wedgwood square transferware covered dish. The color of the blue is unusual in an almost teal blue color. The design is floral with birds and an ancient building. Based on the impressed marking and 3 letters dates the dish to 1883. Because of the age of the piece there is a small about of discoloring in the porcelain. The piece measures 2.5 inches high without the top on, 5 inches with the top on to the top of the handle. The dish is 8.25 inches wide and 9.75 inches with the side handles. There is a small flea bite on the inside edge and a chip under the inside edge (pictured). I also have a matching rectangle dish listed if you would like a matching set.
