class=\"MsoNormal\">This old stoneware canning jar is in great shape forits age. It has the lid and functionalmetal bail. It shows a nice crazing inthe glaze, a deep brown-toned neck, and a clean interior. Very little roughness in noted on the jar,and most of the detected minor “flaws” are part of the manufacturing process. TheWeir patent dates to 1892 as embossed on the lid. The stoneware jar with lidhas a total height of approximately 7 5/8 inches, and a diameter at the bottomof 4 1/8 inches.
