Great old cookbook for your collection! White House Cook Book owned and well used by my grandmother.
\"It was a book no fashionable bride or matron would be without.\" (quote by Erwin 1964).Front cover shows picture of the White House. There are various illustrations of the White House wives including Francis Folsom Cleveland and Ida Saxton McKinley.
Spine says New and Enlarged Edition and illustrated. Illustrations are in black and white.
Looking at similar cook books online would guess to be from the 1900\'s (not guaranteed). The title pages are missing so exact age is unknown.
Book is in fair to poor condition. Binding is intact. Pages are very age tanned, bent, torn, have holes, and a few are loose in the back. May have had some water damage. Grandmother\'s name is on first page and an index page has some writing. Appears the spine has been repaired. Cover is scratched, worn, stained, tears, etc.
