Antique Scandinavian bent wood box - likely a Norwegian Tine (sometimes spelled \"Tina\") or Swedish Svepask.

Also known as a bride\'s box, pantry box or snap box (due to the sound the lid makes when snapping in place).

Oval shape. The sides have two vertical posts with notches at the top, to hold the lid on. Reddish-brown color.

The lid is signed \"A.R.\"

Measures approximately 17.5\" long x 10\" wide x 8.5\" tall (to the top of the tallest post).

Pre-owned, antique. Perfectly usable, but there are scratches & wear throughout.
