Very attractive Folding / Sewing / Field Table 1800s. Patent applied for number is 33. The U.S. Patents office listed numbers under 100 were from 1830s-1875.

This table is not only a beautiful piece of history but extremely usable and a wonderful space saver since the legs fold(approx 3.75\" high when folded).

The table features spindle folding legs which are held in place by a pivoting arm and is in amazingly great condition. The pivoting armis referred to as a \"spring board\". The hardware appears to be quality brass. Hand crafted carved detail workmanship is exquisite on the sides of the table. Original finish.

Under the Table is stencil marking\"Manufactured only by theBowen manufacturing Co”.
