ZOWIE! Here is something you do not find often. Fit for a millionaire. Genuine very vintage to antique yachting cap or yachtsman\'s cap. Classic, smooth cream wool cap with a black cloth visor that is richly hand embroidered with real gold bullion, a gold metallic gilt embroidery AKA scrambled eggs pattern of oak leaves and acorns. In front is a large metallic gold emblem with touches of color, a gold crown, leaves, and a metal (brass?) anchor. Really well made. There is a double twisted black cord, each side secured with a brass button. Interior has a liner of mesh and canvas, with a black leather or (?) some material sweatband. Dates to circa the 1930s or possibly earlier. Looks great on and is perfect for your next sailing excursion, vacation, or to wear with your historical attire. I can see this being worn with a 1920s or 1930s blue blazer and linen trousers. Great for just lounging and having cocktails, maybe at the next Art Deco Festival....or sailing to Catalina Island for dinner at the Avalon Ballroom? A real gentleman\'s sporting cap!
