DescriptionWonderful old Set of Antique Staffordshire China, This set was imported by the Canadian firm Boxer & Sons and from what limited information that is available the best guess that I have is that these pieces were possibly made by J. Dimmock of England. before 1860.The set consist of 8 Trios, 8 teacups, 8 saucers and 8 side plates. There is also a milk jug and a larger open bowl, possibly for fruit?. for a total of 26 pieces.The pattern is a pretty floraltransfer wareWhich has almost an Aesthetic feel to itwith a patterned band and gold rims. the Saucers and Plates carry the Boxer import mark as shown.Sets of this age rarely escape without damages as people ACTUALLY used these items on a daily basis! Sadly this is no different and there are issues that I need to point out to you, 4 of the saucers have brown discoloration to them, 3 of the cups also have the same discoloration, there is a small chip on one cup, one on the large bowl , one to a saucer and a chip to 2 plates. there is also gold loss to many pieces. This sounds like an awful lot I guess but these are 150 years old and they display very prettily and I was unable to find another set in this pattern.Side plates measure 7 1/8\" diameterSaucers measure 5.5\" diameterCups measure 2.75\" dameter & 2.75\" talljug measures 4.75\" tallBowl is 5.25\" diameter & 3.25\" tall
