When I first located this ornate sauceladleit was unrecognizable with tarnish. After hand polishing, the bowl revealed a solid brassbeautiful sheen. The delicate bow & floral pattern is the same on both sides. The handle is cemented to the bowl and is as strong as the day it was made. The connectingneck/stem is straight as an arrow. It\'s completely free from bends and dents except for the smallestwarble on the bowl - which I never noticed until these photos, also seen inphoto #8. Best of all - it\'s completely free from a monogram. The only maker\'s mark you\'ll find is the 800 I stamp (on both sides) of the silver base. I dated that style of stamp to Italy 1873, however I defer to your expertise. So pretty - and a look you don\'t see long
