Fresh from a local estate. A quick google search would suggest that this is a confederate \' Tin Drum \' style canteen. The paint appears original and in great overall condition with normal use wear. Dent under the \"C\" and the three tin bands through which the strap would have passed are pushed down. The initials K R C are stenciled on the front in gold paint. I wonder how many southerners with those exact initials served? It would great if the original owner could be determined.
