Up for sale to U.S. customers only is an old sword and scabbard found at a house sale with no idea of the history. The curved sword is 38 inches long with a wood handle; the metal could be iron or steel (most likely steel). Based on the etching on the sword and the scabbard and what are probably the maker\'s mark on both sides of the sword (a star and another symbol) this could be Indian or Persian -- but I\'m only guessing. The wood and cloth on the scabbard are cracked and torn, but the wood portion might be able to be saved -- it appears complete. An interesting piece and maybe a collector out there could shed some light on this piece which I\'ll add to the listing.
