Up for sale is an antique hand carved wood figure of an old man with his cane. This is a very unique piece and I have yet to see anything like it anywhere. It is very well made, the details and colors are amazing.
There is some writings on the bottom of the figure (please see photos). I cannot make out what it says, but it looks like it says 1932 as the year, so I am assuming it was made in 1932. This has been in my family for decades, so far back that no one knows exactly where it came from or who made it. My family is from rural Kentucky and it may have been made there by a family member, friend, farmer or who knows. I inherited it recently from my parents. It has spent most years hidden away in closets and drawers. It really needs to go to a good home where it can be appreciated as it is a true work of art and part of American history. You just do not see wood carved figures like this. Truly one-of-a-kind. Please look at all 12 photos in this listing.
