This offering is for an old antique cast brass or bronze bill clip or letter holder. The holder is marked on the back plate \"PAT\'D OCT 8 1872\" there are no other makers markings. The cast bronze clip is in the shape of an early ax head with an aesthetic movement style design. The clip has a wonderful untouched patina and has and been cleaned in many years. The overall length top to bottom is app. 4\" and it measures app. 2½\" in width at the widest point. There are no chips, cracks or repairs and the clip displays beautifully.
