BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE SILVER BRACELET MODERIST DESIGN BY MAESTRO ANTONIO PINEDAAntonio Pineda is one of the most respected of the wonderful silversmiths of Taxco, his earlier studies in painting gave him a vision which carried over into his work as a Silversmith. In 1939 he left Taxco to work for Valentin Vidaurreta in Mexico City where he developed his appreciation for working with powerfully formed but simple shapes in silver. He established his own Taller and Store in 1941. Antonio insisted on technical quality and the use of almost pure silver (970) and his jewellelry is justly described as \'wearable works of art\'. This sale is for a magnificent vintage solid silver bracelet. Bracelet comprised of identical curved V-shaped links, it has a tongue in box closure with a safety link. This is a very modernist style and is timeless which is just as Antonio wished. I believe this design is from the 1960\'s and judging by the hallmark they were produced between 1960 - 1980, his ANTONIO Crown was used from 1951.Made from 970 Silver this beautiful and substantial bracelet is in excellent vintage condition and would make and excellent addition to any collection. Size: 8\" x 1 1/8\" tall.
