This is a \"RARE\" antique French Boulle \"Natural Red T Shell\" Clock from HARROD\'S department store, Londonfrom around 1850 /1860s. This waisted styleclock has a lot of bronze ormolu and a beautiful \"Natural Red T Shell\" veneer. The clocks door is bevelled convex glass, and the face is whiteporcelain, with black roman numerals and is marked HARROD\'S LED. LONDON, MADE IN FRANCE.The brass movement ishigh quality French made, itstrikes the wire gong every 1/2 hr and full hour, is an 8 day time and strike,runs and works very well. It is signed SONNERIE PROGRES, FRANCE, BUSGDG, #9069 41, BARILLET DE\'MONTABLE BREVETE S G.D.G. From it\'s bronze scrolling feet to it\'s bronze floral finial this clock is all complete and original, the pendulum is also marked # 9069 that matches the movement.It is in excellent condition for it\'s age, allthe bronze work on the clock iscomplete with nomissing pieces,the \"Natural Red TShell\" has someblemishes and age crackling, the porcelian face has a very small chip at the #4 hole. I have never seen another marked HARROD\'Sdepartment store mantel clock, seephotos for more details and look at the nice patina on this rare old piece.
