Bought this mac in 2010. Further customized it in 2012 (see bullet points below). All parts work perfectly (with the exception of the optic drive, which I will explain below). I have been very careful with it. Only selling it because I\'m upgrading to a desktop computer.About the customized hardware (VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ):
  • 15.4 inch, Anti-Glare display
  • Optical drive is replaced with a 480GB OWC Mercury Electra 3G SSD. The stock 500GB HDD is unchanged. The SSD was bought brand-new in late 2012. I\'ve been using the SSD as the boot drive, and HDD as storage.
  • NO optical drive, as explained in the previous bullet point.
  • Two 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory modules installed. Both bought brand-new in late 2012.
  • Other hardware specs should be the same as the standard version.

Other noteworthy points:

  • The keyboard has been covered by a Moshi ClearGuard keyboard protector since the purchase date.
  • The charger comes with a Chinese version extension cable, so an adapter is included.
  • OS X El Capitan is pre-loaded on the SSD. The HDD is empty.
  • No original box, warranty, or any software included. Only the laptop and the charger will be shipped.
  • No return
