Tested : Sound is great. Holds a charge. When I tested this item on (4/24/18) there waswhirring noise / clicking-(the hard drive spinning and theiPod would work but freeze and be unresponsive). When tested on (4/25/18) theiPod worked well so there are no guarantees on how the item will function. Could possibly be from the massive amount of songs on theiPod , but not sure. Has not been factory reset because I wanted to keep the songs on there.
If you are a bit techsavvy you can probably fix the issue. This is being sold as is - as explained in the listing.
Screen has a screen protector on it ; screens in good shape.
