The Fred Arborgast lure company was founded in Akron, Ohio in the 1930\'s. The first lure he patented was the Tin Liz of which there are over a half a dozen different models. Fred\'s love of fishing from what Ive read was a life long passion, however he died in 1947 making his longevity as a lure maker cut short. The company continued to flourish even without Fred at the Helm and created many favorite bass catchers.
