A beautiful huge dragon bowl. This is a rare Ming Dynasty work of classic blue and white. The five clawed dragon in the circular medallions is quite spectacular!The base is un glazed and resessed. The shaped is that of a many lobed gourd. The size is 15 inches wide by 15 inches tall. We can not promise the exact age of this however it is our opinion as past owners that it is made during Ming Dynasty.The porcelain body is quite heavy and the under glaze blue very correct for the period.
