Vintage Arnold Pen Company marbleized red screw cap fountain pen in very good, never used condition, old stock. This pen is 100% original andun-restored, it may have flaws, show signs of age, etc. (we do not guarantee them to work). These should be purchased for the values as collectibles. We have no way of testing the bladder but the fill lever appears to work fine. Nib is in excellent condition with no wear. The fountain pen that you will receive will be the same model and equal to or better quality than the one pictured. We do combine shipping for all items when possible.A little background history:
1935-2005
The Arnold pen company was started by Remmie Arnold in 1935. Remmie Arnold had worked for the Edison Pen Co and left to start his own company. He knew that their was a large market for low priced fountain pens and he built his pen company into one of the largest fountain pen companies in the world. His pens sold at dime stores and discount stores all of the country [and many other countries]. Most of his pens were priced from 19 cents to 89 cents. He did sell some pens with gold nibs, but they are very hard to find today [they sold for one dollar].
Most of the Arnold line were lever fillers. Pen pencil combos were probably their biggest seller.
Although the Arnold pens were not high priced, they did come in some great colors and they were made fairly well. They have plated trim and most have gold plated nibs. The main interest in them today is for their varied colors. (Courtesy of pensandwatches)
After 75 years of faithful production the Arnold Pen Company shuttered the factory and closed it\'s doors after producing the companies final pens in February 2010.
