Title : ART DECO Swedish KOSTA Olive Panel Cut Chalice VASE Square Base ELIS BERG 1935 Sweden

Description : A stunning Art Deco styled chalice shaped heavy glass vase in an olive green coloured glasses designed by famous Swedish designer Elis Berg; hand-blown with a panel cut pattern around the upper bucket shaped bowl that tapers towards the base and set on a thick square cut base. Beautiful lines to this period vase, looks beautiful with flowers!

Maker : manufactured by Kosta Glassworks of Sweden; marked Kosta 1935 B 343. Designed by Elis Berg who worked at Kosta from 1929 until 1950. A wesbiste describes his early pieces were just signed with the letter “B” and the model number. In later years, “Kosta” is often added as well as the year of production to more important pieces – implying this is a more important piece of his work. The “B” is often written in such a way that the left side of the letter looks like an inverted “E”.

Age : dated 1935

Size : measures 8 inches high

Condition : In excellent condition with no chips or cracks; the glass is clean and shiny, the colour is strong – really beautiful condition. Please use photographs as part of the condition statement.
