Wonderful GeorgeV Art Deco Hallmarked \"Patent\" Solid Silver Cigarette Case made by Charles S Green & Co Ltd
Description -Wonderful Art Deco good heavy gauge solid silver cigarette case with hinged lid and push button clasp, the cigarette has nice engine turned decoration.
The cigarette case has a nice Art Deco pattern and a cartouche with the engraved initials \"C.S.T\".
The interior is silver-gilt (Gold washed) and has a \"Patent\" slipway top, the cigarette case still has its original retention strap.
The cigarette case is fully hallmarked with the anchor forBirminghamassay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter \"J\" for the year 1933 and the makers mark \"CSG & Co\" which is Charles S Green & Co Ltd.
The cigarette case also has \"TRADE MARK\" and \"SLIPWAY\" with the patent number \"PAT. No 302854\" stamped.
Condition -The cigarette case is in excellent condition, there are no dents, dinks, splits, holes or repairs.
The engraving is crisp and clear with no rubbing or wear, the hinge and clasp are in perfect working order clicking the case shut tight
The interior silver-gilt is nice and bright with a nice sheen and no wear.
Dimensions & Weight -The cigarette case is 11.3cm long x 8.2cm wide, the weight is 145.7 grams.
